Francisco de Pájaro – Art Is Trash

The video from 2020-07-15 documents another work by Francisco de Pájaro, better known as Art Is Trash. Since 2009 he has turned rubbish left on the pavement – boxes, bags, mattresses, old furniture – into wild, comic figures painted on the spot. That makes every figure a one-off: once the street is cleaned, it is gone, and often only videos like this one remain. Beyond Barcelona, his trash art has also appeared in cities such as London and New York.
