Tanta limpieza da asco

Francisco de Pájaro – Art Is Trash

Behind the name Art Is Trash stands Francisco de Pájaro, a street artist working in Barcelona – this video was published on 2021-06-06. Since 2009 he has turned rubbish left on the pavement – boxes, bags, mattresses, old furniture – into wild, comic figures painted on the spot. That makes every figure a one-off: once the street is cleaned, it is gone, and often only videos like this one remain. With humour and provocation he comments on consumerism, waste, politics and the art market.
